Organizational Overview:

This role will be part of Synchrony Identity and Access Management Technology and Governance team which ties to Synchrony Information Security team. The AVP, Sr. SailPoint Automation Engineer will report to SIAM Configurations Lead Engineer. This role is responsible for overseeing Synchrony’s identity governance cloud automation processes. The candidate will have to closely work with Product Owners across IAM. 

Role Summary/Purpose:
The AVP, Sr. SailPoint Automation Engineer will play a critical role in the engineering and delivery of solutions that enable the strategic modernization & transformation of Synchrony’s Identity Governance platform. This role will understand the technology ecosystem and engineer solutions to drive critical governance & oversight of access for Synchrony systems. Additionally, this individual will help support and advance the Identity Governance & Technology team’s strategy & roadmap for enabling our business.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design, engineer, deploy, and document Identity Governance solutions working closely with application architects & lead engineers, product teams, information security, and risk management functions

  • Develop automation necessary to build, test, deploy, and maintain Identity Governance solutions adhering to DevOps processes

  • Continuous adherence to and champion technical excellence and good design principles following standard technical identity governance documentation including standard configuration, design patterns, technical requirements, architecture diagrams, and sequence/flow diagrams 

  • Provide deep subject matter expertise for Identity Governance platform services, entities, configuration, and best practices

  •  Drive the operational & technical excellence of Identity Governance processes and technologies leveraging performance and availability metrics

  •  Apply technical knowledge, industry experience, expertise, and insights to contribute to the development & execution of Identity Governance features

  •  Day-to-day management & maintenance of the Identity Governance platform configuration required to support business requirements, application integrations, workloads, regulatory compliance, and all other platform efforts or deliverables

  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to improve and deliver on business objectives, priorities.

  • Collaborate with various groups and individuals to troubleshoot and resolve escalated production issues

  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to identity governance engineers and junior engineers to continuously improve the technical knowledge and continuous learning culture across the team.

  • Provide periodic availability for an early morning or weekend platform release on an as needed basis.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science / other technical degree or Business Management and 8 years of IT experience or in lieu of degree and 10 years of IT experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the development & operational support of Identity Governance technologies such as Sailpoint IdentityIQ including platform implementation, installation, configuration & administration.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in development & operational support of Identity Governance processes including joiners, movers, leavers, access management & access certifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with agile methodologies on a product team

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in automating deployments using DevOps & CI/CD best practices

  • Strong engineering and architecture skills; especially in information security 

  • Strong hands-on development experience building Identity Governance workflows for joiner, mover, leaver, access management & access certification workloads

  • Hands-on experience integrating SailPoint with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

  • Hands-on experience using DevOps technologies such as Git & Jenkins to automate the continuous delivery & deployment of Identity Governance solutions

  • Hands-on experience working across various identity functions including Identity Governance & Administration, Authentication, Authorization, Directory Services, Privilege Management, and Secrets Management 

  • Experience designing and building resilient API/Microservice solutions with DevOps and fully automated service delivery capabilities

  • Knowledge of the organization’s enterprise technology goals and objectives and core business/mission processes

  • Experience with PII, PCI and NIST 800-53, 800-63, 800-79-2, or 800-157 policies and standard

  • Knowledge of laws, policies, procedures, or governance relevant to cybersecurity for critical infrastructures

  • Knowledge of cyber defense, information technology (IT) risk management and information security policies, procedures, and regulations

Eligibility Criteria :

BS/BA in Computer Science / other technical degree or Business Management and 8 years of IT experience or in lieu of degree 10 years of IT experience.

Work Timings : 03:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST
