Role Summary/Purpose:
AVP-Analytics, Product Insights & Optimization (Individual Contributor) role is a part of India Analytics Hub (IAH) and reports to Product Insights & Optimization leader in IAH. The desired employee is expected to deliver on business and organizational priorities for the Product Insights and Optimization teams, solving problems with solutions that are powered by data and analytics. The role involves providing strategic thought leadership and data driven insights on diverse analytics and reporting activities to the product analytics team for multiple Synchrony products and capabilities
Essential Responsibilities:

Partner with India lead to execute on the analytics roadmap & vision for the Product Analytics and Consulting team within IAH

Provide strategic analytics across consumer and commercial-facing Synchrony products, evaluating and optimizing product features, pricing, and markets

Work hands-on and lead analytic projects/programs around product launches, product optimization, cannibalization impact assessment etc. from scoping to delivery and solve business problems through basic to advanced analytics/data science streams, as applicable

Identify and execute analytic process improvement opportunities in line with business priorities

Support strategic initiatives and analytic solutions end-to-end, as assigned time to time

Establish a strong partnership with stakeholders through consistent delivery, transparency and problem solving mindset

Mentor junior team members on technical and functional skills and guide them build progressive thinking towards fulfilling their career objectives and assist hiring for the team (as required)

Contribute to internal initiatives, perform other duties and/or special projects, as assigned
Required Skills & Knowledge:
-
Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any other quantitative streams with 4+ years of hands-on relevant analytics/data science experience, or in lieu of a degree 6+ years of relevant analytics/data science experience.

4+ years of hands-on Experience in SQL /SAS with proven ability to leverage advanced algorithms and be efficient in handling complex/large data

2+ years of experience in BI tools, e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Birst, etc.

2+ years in marketing analytics, with a focus on customer analytics

2+ years in building analytics to drive strategy with positive outcomes and measuring impact

Proven experience with large-scale data analysis, data mining, and statistical modeling.

Ability to solve complex technical and people-oriented problems with minimal supervision

Advanced proficiency in MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint with superior data analyses and story boarding skills

Strong written/oral communication & stakeholder management skills

Eligibility Criteria:
Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any other quantitative streams with 4+ years of hands-on relevant analytics/data science experience, or in lieu of a degree 6+ years of relevant analytics/data science experience.
Work Timings:
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
