Role Summary/Purpose:
The Vice President, Treasury Operations – Business Integration Project Manager is a highly visible position responsible for managing complex, high-impact initiatives that shape the future of Treasury Operations. This role focuses on leading the scoping, development, implementation, and commercialization of innovative programs, ensuring alignment with business priorities, technical integrity, and long-term value delivery.
As the day-to-day business implementation leader, you will work closely with implementation teams and stakeholders to define integration activities, resolve dependencies, and execute program goals successfully. This role requires a versatile leader with expertise in program management, financial services acumen, and the ability to bridge business, operations, and IT functions to deliver strategic Treasury initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Lead the implementation of Treasury initiatives and operational capabilities, managing tasks such as project plans, developing business requirements, testing, documentation, and cross-functional communication.

Program Design & Execution: Develop and execute multi-phased program plans and multi-year roadmaps that deliver measurable business value while ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.

Opportunity Identification: Continuously assess and identify opportunities to drive growth, integration, and automation across Treasury programs and initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong communications with program teams, sponsors, champions, finance leaders, and external partners to ensure progress visibility, engagement, and alignment.

Program Oversight: Prioritize build-out requirements, manage dependencies, and oversee technology-related limitations, managing Agile increments and sprints for successful program launches.

Technical Execution: Leverage existing frameworks, system integration opportunities, and industry guidance to develop requirements and pave the way for future market penetration and growth opportunities.

Program Delivery: Craft a deep understanding of program KPIs, analytics, and enterprise system architecture to inform delivery strategies and data-driven decision-making in future iterations.
Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 8 years of experience in Financial Services, Treasury, or related industry or in lieu of degree, 12+ years of equivalent experience.

Minimum 5 years of proven program management experience delivering complex solutions, including system integrations, automation, and conversions.

Minimum 2 years of experience in banking, financial services, or fintech industry.

Proficiency in implementation methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid approaches.

Hands-on experience with tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence.

Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time as required
Desired Characteristics:

Advanced degree/MBA preferred.

Deep understanding of Treasury Operations, financing products (e.g., revolving credit, loans), and accounting processes.

Proven strategic leadership capabilities in dynamic and cross-functional environments.

Experience with product management and development initiatives.

Strong business acumen with the ability to bridge business objectives with technology solutions.

Familiarity with Synchrony processes and systems is a plus.

Ability to mentor and provide direction to team members, fostering talent development.

High energy, self-motivated, results-driven individual with a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for innovation.

Proven ability to manage distributed teams and deliver projects on time and on budget.
Grade/Level: 12
The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 – 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
