Organizational Overview:

Synchrony’s Strategic Partnerships and Agile team is an amalgamation of 4 sub verticals, SM (Supplier Management), CSS (Client Systems & Support) , OOA (Office of Agile) & SR (Strategic Relationships). Supplier Management & Strategic Relationship teams have the mission to maintain a right-sized, healthy, and dynamic portfolio of suppliers with the breadth and depth of capabilities to power Synchrony products and services while maintaining compliance with our Supplier Management program and reduce the 3rd party outsourcing risk. 

Role Summary/Purpose:

The Domain Analyst  role is responsible for an assigned domain consisting of Fiserv provided applications and services, ensuring operational excellence, integration support, and alignment with business and technology objectives.

The Domain Analyst will develop extensive knowledge of Fiserv products within their assigned domain.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Synchrony teams responsible for applications that integrate with Fiserv applications and services within your domain.

  • Act as the application owner for the Fiserv applications within your domain, with responsibilities including maintenance of CMDB entries, completion of user access certifications, and ensuring adherence to Synchrony policies and procedures.

  • Manage incident, problem, and change tickets impacting the applications and services within your domain.

  • Provide critical review of Root Cause Analysis documentation provided by Fiserv for applications and services within your domain.

  • Coordinate Synchrony release activities within your domain, facilitating communication between Fiserv and internal stakeholders, and overseeing testing sign off to ensure successful deployments.

  • Ensure Fiserv’s resiliency for the applications within your domain and participate in yearly testing.

  • Collaborate with Fiserv to understand and influence the roadmap for applications and services in your domain, and proactively communicate updates, timelines, and impacts to Synchrony stakeholders.

  • Proactively plan future work by collaborating with Synchrony teams within your domain who are requesting new functionality.

  • Participate in onboarding of new Synchrony clients and understand how they will engaged with the applications and services within your domain.

  • Responsible for certification management, including coordinating with Fiserv and impacted Synchrony stakeholders to ensure timely renewal of certificates that impact applications and services within your domain.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 3 years working in Financial Services technology; OR in lieu of the Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 6 years of experience in Financial Services. 

  • 1-3 years experience working with vendor supplied products and services.

  • 1-3 years experience working with Service Now as well as working with changes and incident management

  • 1-3 years experience working with Fiserv’s product and services

  • Experience working with Agile  (1-3 years experience

Desired Characteristics:

  • Outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. 

  • Critical thinking, problem solving and creativity 

  • Experience managing a large scale supplier relationship

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 3 years working in Financial Services technology; OR in lieu of the Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 6 years of experience in Financial Services. 

Work Timings: 6:30am – 2:30pm EST

This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
