Our Analytics organization comprises of data analysts who focus on enabling strategies to enhance customer and partner experience and optimize business performance through data management and development of full stack descriptive to prescriptive analytics solutions using cutting edge technologies thereby enabling business growth. 

Role Summary/Purpose:

Manager, SAMS Analytics (individual contributor)  role is a part of India Analytics Hub (IAH).  Our Analytics team comprises of data analysts who focus on improving customer/product/digital/ journey experience etc. and growth by providing full stack descriptive to prescriptive analytics via cutting edge technologies to support business objectives. Seeking intellectually curious candidate with a passion for delivering impact in the sales and marketing analytics world, capable of problem solving and working independently. The selected candidate will be part of SAMS Analytics team and will be responsible for executing segmentation strategies, identifying actionable portfolio insights, developing strategic recommendations, and client reporting in order, to drive growth, thought leadership & Innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create/Maintain and deliver tools/reports to allow business partners and external customers to self-service and empower them to run their business

  • Execute segmentation strategies including those that support dormancy, sales potential, competition, and others; explore new ways to segment providers to drive growth

  • Develop actionable insights on key business drivers and identify revenue opportunities using data visualization and storytelling

  • Analyze campaign performance and provide recommendations to optimize targeting and ROI

  • Use internal and external data to develop strategic recommendations to grow share of wallet and maximize profitability

  • Proactively propose, initiate & execute strategic open-ended/ambiguous problems

  • Deep dive and deliver on Ad-hoc & Strategic projects

  • Thought Leadership / Ability to self complete projects with less guidance

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any other quantitative streams with 2+ years of hands-on relevant analytics/data science experience. Minimum 4+ years of hands-on relevant work experience in lieu of specified degree.

  • 2+ years of hands on Experience in  SQL / SAS /Open Source Tools with ability to independently build queries for data extraction & aggregation

  • 1+ year of hands-on experience of latest Analytics Data Visualization tools like Tableau

  • Comprehend key concepts & processes in finance industry ,translate them into quantitative attributes /metrics

  • Ability to Define Methodology , present insights to larger teams and influence decision making

  • Ability to identify process improvements and proactively propose the solutions

  • Adherence to timely delivery, accuracy and documentation in line with Audit Procedures

Desired Skills/Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity/ambiguity and multiple initiatives

  • Good working knowledge of statistical tests, distributions, regression, maximum likelihood estimators, etc.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint with superior data analyses and story boarding skills

Eligibility Criteria:

Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any other quantitative streams with 2+ years of hands-on relevant analytics/data science experience. Minimum 4+ years of hands-on relevant work experience in lieu of specified degree

 

Work Timings:

This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
