Role Summary/Purpose:

The Vice President, Healthcare Specialties leads growth and strategic relationship management across a portfolio of healthcare specialty and adjacent wellness markets for CareCredit’s Wellness organization. This role is responsible for strategic account performance and for driving adoption and utilization of CareCredit solutions through disciplined account governance, market segmentation insights, and cross-functional execution. The incumbent leads a team aligned to strategic accounts and market coverage and serves as a senior internal and external partner to ensure contractual delivery, retention, and sustained revenue growth. This role collaborates closely with Business Development, Marketing, Product, Operations, Credit/Underwriting, Finance, and Risk/Compliance to align strategies and deliver measurable client and portfolio outcomes.

This role supports a portfolio of specialty/strategic markets that may evolve over time based on enterprise priorities. Specific market assignments are determined by the business and are subject to change.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Set portfolio growth strategy for assigned specialty/strategic markets and accounts; translate strategy into annual operating plans with clear initiatives, milestones, and performance targets aligned to Wellness/Healthcare Specialties priorities.
  • Serve as executive relationship leader for key strategic accounts and partner ecosystems; establish senior-level governance, influence enterprise decision makers, and drive measurable improvements in utilization, purchase volume, enrollments, and applications.
  • Lead enrollment criteria and policy optimization for assigned markets; partner with Enrollment, Credit/Underwriting, Risk, and Compliance to evaluate and advance data-supported enhancements/expansions to criteria consistent with risk appetite and portfolio performance.
  • Create a scalable segmentation and playbook approach across markets (e.g., national, mid-market, multi-location, independent) to identify common needs and repeatable levers; consolidate strategies, messaging, tools, and enablement to improve focus and execution consistency across a broad market footprint.
  • Accelerate mid-market and multi-location growth by identifying underpenetrated segments and building coordinated engagement plans with Business Development, field sales, and market expansion resources.
  • Drive contract performance and retention by ensuring contractual obligations are met and partnering with internal stakeholders on renewal strategy, negotiations, amendments, and pricing reviews as applicable.
  • Lead analytics-driven performance management by mining internal and external data (enrollment → activation → utilization funnel, cohorts, market trends) to identify growth opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and run test-and-learn pilots with measurable outcomes.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional execution across Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, Credit/Underwriting, and Risk/Compliance to deliver initiatives that improve activation, utilization, client experience, and operational readiness for strategic accounts.
  • Own escalation and issue resolution for complex client, operational, and compliance matters; drive timely root-cause resolution and ensure clear internal/external communication.
  • Lead and develop a dispersed team of Strategic/National Account Managers and client services resources aligned to strategic accounts; set expectations, coach, and drive performance.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, payments, lending, or adjacent B2B client management/commercial roles.
  • Demonstrated success managing large and/or complex client relationships, including formal communications to senior business leaders and/or key external partners.
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional initiatives (structured execution, stakeholder coordination, and measurable outcomes).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including executive-ready written materials (e.g., QBR content, growth plans, performance updates).
  • Ability to simplify and scale: comfortable consolidating approaches across multiple markets/segments into repeatable strategies and tools.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills; ability to drive outcomes through governance and cross-functional coordination.
  • Strong financial and business acumen; ability to connect initiatives to portfolio outcomes.
  • Ability to travel up to ~40% as required (including overnight and occasional weekends).
  • Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required

Desired Characteristics:

  • People leadership experience (direct or matrix), including coaching, performance management, and leading dispersed teams.
  • Experience supporting contract performance and renewals, including ensuring obligations are met and coordinating internal partners on renewal strategy, amendments, and/or pricing reviews.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply data and insights (e.g., enrollment/activation/utilization trends, cohort performance) to identify growth opportunities and prioritize actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex strategies and performance insights clearly and credibly to senior stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Healthcare/wellness industry familiarity preferred; ability to quickly learn evolving specialty market assignments.
  • Proven ability to work remotely and independently while maintaining high engagement with clients and internal stakeholders.

Grade/Level: 13
