Role Summary/Purpose:
The VP - Pet Partners and Digital Experience will be a pivotal role in realizing Synchrony’s ambitious Health and Wellness growth goals - driving strategic solutions and growing the pet market portfolio for the platform. This will involve working with external partners and cross functionally to identify expanded revenue opportunities and deliver growth initiatives for the pet business vertical across the CareCredit. This role will also coordinate with CareCredit’s pet insurance partnerships with Doubtless and Clarus where opportunities for broader go-to-market across multiple companies makes sense.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Drive commercialization (accounts, transactions) by serving as relationship lead for key ISV and digital partners
- Source and negotiate partnership agreements directly with pet software and eCommerce partners; obtain IRSC approval and own partnership growth initiatives
- Collaborate with Pet leadership, H&W ISV team, Business Development, Ventures, and Strategy to build pipeline of prospective software integrations and eCommerce partnerships and new product opportunities for existing partners
- Liaise with Vet CD team to provide subject matter expertise as required for large and mid-size partners who want to learn more about (or are already utilizing) the ISV workflow integrations established
- Collaborate with marketing to test DTC acquisition opportunities via eCommerce partners
- Work cross functionally and enterprise-wide to support growth through new market opportunities, products, and partnerships, to enhance Synchrony’s position in pet industry
- Engage, influence, and coordinate prioritization of business objectives and IT development
- Track and report performance: Establish KPIs (pipeline, integrations delivered, activation/adoption, volume/revenue, partner health/NPS) and provide regular executive updates and recommendations
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (healthcare or business) and 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, product partnerships, or ecosystem/channel leadership, ideally within healthcare, fintech, payments, or lending; OR 2) in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, a high school diploma/GED and 13+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, product partnerships, or ecosystem/channel leadership, ideally within healthcare, fintech, payments, or lending
- Demonstrated collaboration, project management, problem-solving, quantitative, and qualitative analysis skills
- An understanding of payments, B2B practice workflow tools, and how integrations drive distribution
- Ability to source, evaluate, and negotiate complex partnership agreements, including commercial terms and joint go-to-market plans
- Strong critical thinking skills with an ability to creatively develop solutions that address client needs
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, with a track record of delivering measurable partner-led growth
- Highly organized operator with strong program management skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and financial acumen; ability to build business cases, size opportunities, and manage to KPIs
- Expected to travel 25-50% based on partner/conference schedules
- Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
Desired Characteristics:
- Advanced degree/MBA preferred
- Experience launching new initiatives and/or products to drive business growth
- Strong overall knowledge of consumer lending, including IT, Operations, Marketing, Risk, and Finance
- Established leadership acumen: Superior influencing and negotiating ability, with strong organization and project management expertise
- Creative problem solver: Deriving cohesive and insightful solutions from desperate information, including both quantitative and qualitative inputs, to meet business objectives
- Excellent communicator: Leading effective and efficient meetings, creating and delivering executive-level summary reports and presentations, and tailoring communications to the audience
- Highly relational: Engaging and influencing at all levels within the organization, through sound conflict-resolutions skills, proven collaborative talent, and purposeful storytelling
- Working knowledge of integration models, SYF product suite, and technology concepts (APIs, Agile) and ability to partner with ISV team and product /engineering /architecture teams to translate commercial goals into business requirements

Grade/Level: 12
The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

You will be required to commute to your nearest Hub (either virtual or physical) for in-person engagement activities such as regular business or team meetings, training and culture events.
*Field Sales and some Commercial team roles may have varied location requirements based upon partner obligations or preferences.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
