Organizational Overview
The IAM portfolio is responsible for enabling secure and compliant access to enterprise applications, systems, and data across the organization. The portfolio covers key Identity and Access Management capabilities including access provisioning, deprovisioning, privileged access management, governance and compliance, authentication services, role management, and identity lifecycle processes.
We support multiple Agile teams delivering enhancements, regulatory requirements, security initiatives, operational improvements, and technology modernization efforts. Given the critical nature of IAM, the portfolio operates with a high volume of dependencies, release activities, stakeholder engagements, and regulatory commitments. Over time, the scope and demand have increased significantly, which has expanded the workload on the existing Scrum Masters and created the need for additional capacit
Role Summary/Purpose:
Information Security - IAM Scrum Master will be responsible for leading two or more of our SAFe agile scrum teams on InfoSec projects and initiatives. This individual will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching teams and other scrum masters through agile methodologies.
- As an AVP Scrum Master, in this role, you will be responsible for leading agile scrum teams executing the InfoSec Agile roadmap, and facilitating strategic and tactical conversations among a wide range of business and technical stakeholders.
- This role is responsible for collaborating with IAM product owners, technical leads, clients and other stakeholders in delivering a seamless customer experience in the IAM space, and leading the Agile teams to deliver.
- The ideal candidate will be a strong agile process SME and coach on agile methodologies.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in SAFe methodology and a project management background with a focus on technology and Agile development, as well as a proven track record of delivering critical initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead teams and the organization on how to best use Agile principles/frameworks and effectively leverages appropriate best practices.
- Advocate for autonomous, self-organizing, empowered, and continuously improving teams.
- Act as Scrum Master for assigned Scrum/Kanban teams, facilitating ceremonies such as, stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Manage Sprints - keeping order, process, delivery, priorities accurate and on time.
- Keep agile team focused on concrete priorities while keeping outside influences from disrupting the agile team and actively identify and remove waste and distractions.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand the expected product functionality and customer requirements.
- Assist in removing team impediments, and track and maintain metrics. Promote collaboration, transparency, and communicate accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
- Create, assess, update and maintain agile documentation.
- Generates agile metrics reports indicating velocity, burn-down, etc.
- Experience working on Releases.
- Collaborate and coordinate with related teams for Releases and get approvals
- Lead projects in Waterfall to Agile methodologies.
- Support transition to Agile.
- Be the Agile learnings lead for the ART.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ year of experienGraduate degree in any discipline with minimum 6+ year of IT experience, or in lieu of a degree minimum 8+ years of experience.ce with Jira, Agile, and other project management tools.
- Minimum 5 years of working in Agile transformation as a Scrum Master.
- Hands-on experience in agile, scrum master, project manager roles.
- SAFe Agilist, SAFE Scrum Master certification is a must.
Desired Characteristics:
- InfoSec/IAM business and technology experience is a plus.
- Previous working experience with Identity and Access Management technologies and have a firm understanding of Agile principles and frameworks.
- Previous working experience coaching and transforming technology delivery teams into an Agile framework. Skilled at organizing and communicating complex concepts - must be capable of breaking down complex situations, this applies to both technical issues and process issues.
- Strong experience managing Agile delivery projects.
- Organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail a must. Ability to work with teams to gather unrefined business requirements from multiple sources and formulate and deliver a solution in a timely manner.
- Ability to work under the pressure of multiple projects and deadlines at once.
- Solid communication skills and must be highly motivated and demonstrate high level of initiative.
- Must be a self-starter, ability to quickly learn, adapt, shows initiative and thinks outside the box.
Eligibility Criteria:
Graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 6+ year of IT experience, or in lieu of a degree minimum 8+ years of experience.
Work Timings : 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs)
