Organizational Overview:
Performance Marketing India team works closely with the marketing team in the US to support a wide range of marketing activities, including campaign operations, creative services, project tracking, compliance, and vendor management. The team is involved in every step of the process, from customer acquisition to providing marketing offers and regular updates to keep customers engaged with Synchrony.
Role Summary/Purpose:
The AVP – Quality, Automation will fulfill the business and organizational priorities, as well as spearhead the Quality strategy, promote AI and Automation initiatives, and introduce innovative solutions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. This position will unify QA practices across various teams, pinpoint opportunities for improvement, and deploy new tools and technologies to elevate the organization’s overall quality maturity. Ensure process compliance and foster continuous improvement. Track quality KPIs and formulate action plans to enhance performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality standards are consistently applied.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to support statement and plastic initiatives, ensuring end-to-end coverage and alignment with planned project enhancements.
- Define and maintain test strategy and plans (functional, regression, integration, and production validation), including monthly production validation for marketing campaigns.
- Design, develop, and enhance automation frameworks and reusable test assets for mainframe/legacy applications using tools such as UFT One/QTP, RPA, WinRunner, Excel macros, AI-enabled tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AWS Bedrock), and scripting languages (e.g., Python).
- Apply strong domain expertise in credit card processing, statement generation, and related downstream impacts to drive accurate test design and defect triage.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (business, development, product, compliance/legal, surveillance, audit) to clarify requirements, risks, and acceptance criteria and translate them into test strategies.
- Investigate test/job failures and perform root-cause analysis using logs and system evidence; track issues through resolution and validate fixes
- Measure and report quality metrics (KPIs, trends, defect leakage, SLA adherence), communicate risks and recommendations, and drive action plans to improve quality outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement by assessing/piloting emerging QA tools (including AI-enabled QA), automating documentation/artifact access (SharePoint/Confluence/repos), mentoring team members, and managing backlog priorities based on business value.
- Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and achieve the outcomes within the timelines.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Operations Excellence, and Automation.
- 1+ years of Experience with Fiserv system configuration tools: PCF, Decision Quest®, SCS, and PEP.
- 1+ years of Strong understanding of green screens and legacy testing.
- 3+ years of Strong knowledge of QA processes, quality frameworks, and governance models.
- 2+years of Hands-on experience with automation tools, AI platforms, or workflow automation technologies.
- 2+ years of Proven capability to assess and implement new technologies and tools effectively.
- 2+ years of Experience with Excel macros and/or test automation using Python/Selenium, with exposure to AI/GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot, AWS Bedrock, O penAI/Automation Anywhere AI.
- 2 + years Exceptional problem-solving abilities coupled with a keen eye for detail. Proficient in utilizing SAS, SQL, Power Apps, Tableau, Power BI, Python, and various other database languages.
- 1+ years of proficient in building and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau / Power BI, with experience translating business requirements into actionable insights.
- In-depth understanding of artificial intelligence principles, encompassing neural networks, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), AI & GEN AI.
Desired Characteristics:
- 2+ years of marketing operations and campaign execution, as applicable to our organization.
- Knowledge of financial services systems; Fiserv, First Data, Content Navigator, Consumer Center .
- Ability to creatively solve problems, develop innovative approaches, and proactively address implementation challenges while remaining adaptable to evolving business needs, bringing high energy and self-motivation with a strong commitment to continuous learning, professional growth, and building subject matter expertise.

Eligibility Criteria:
Master's or bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4+ years of working experience in Quality Assurance domain preferably Campaign Execution Marketing, or in lieu of a degree with minimum 6+ years of working experience in preferably Marketing.
Work Timings:1 2 PM to 9 PM IST
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs)
