Organizational Overview

Synchrony’s Strategic Partnerships and Agile team is an amalgamation of 5 sub verticals, Supplier Management, Client Systems & Support, Office of Agile, Strategic Supplier Relationships &  Customer Communications & Payments. Supplier Management & Strategic Relationship teams have the mission to maintain a right-sized, healthy, and dynamic portfolio of suppliers with the breadth and depth of capabilities to power Synchrony products and services while maintaining compliance with our Supplier Management program and reduce the 3rd party outsourcing risk. The Office of Agile(OOA) supports the enterprise-wide adoption and adherence to Scaled Agile principles through the promotion of progressive thinking, tools, and techniques. In addition, the Office of Agile strives to define organizational guidelines which identify, prioritize, align and successfully execute the strategic directives of senior leadership. The Client Systems Support team delivers multi-platform configuration solutions to drive functionality behind many core processes across Synchrony’s credit and pay later products including loyalty programs and campaigns, cardholder pricing and billing, promotional financing, merchant processing, billing statement content, cardholder letters, and plastics. The Customer Communications & Payments area is responsible for the build, fulfillment and delivery process management for plastics, statements and letter communication to Synchrony’s credit and bank customers, payment and deposits processing for their accounts; mail services and management.


Role Summary/Purpose

The AVP, Office of Agile - Analytics Lead is responsible for establishing, administering, and continuously improving the data analytics, metrics, and reporting capabilities derived from the tools governed by the Office of Agile. This role serves as the primary owner of analytics enablement—ensuring accurate data capture, consistent metric definitions, and trusted reporting that supports effective Agile practices, operational oversight, and decision-making across the Agile Community of Practice.

This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. We’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analytics and metrics ownership: Define, standardize, and maintain Agile metrics, KPIs, and measurement frameworks (e.g., flow, predictability, throughput, quality, capacity) in alignment with governance expectations and organizational priorities.
  • Tools reporting and dashboards: Develop and oversee dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reporting packages that enable leaders and teams to monitor delivery health, performance trends, and compliance with Agile Policies, Standards, and Procedures.
  • Data quality and integrity: Establish controls and routines to ensure data completeness, timeliness, and accuracy across Office of Agile tools; identify gaps and drive remediation with tool owners, administrators, and users.
  • Requirements intake and enablement: Partner with the Agile Community of Practice and key stakeholders to gather reporting needs, translate them into clear analytics requirements, and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Insights and recommendations: Move beyond reporting to provide actionable insights, narrative context, and recommendations to improve delivery outcomes and tooling effectiveness.
  • Cross-functional partnership: Collaborate with technology, product owners, tool administrators, data teams, and governance stakeholders to ensure data accessibility, appropriate permissions, and secure consumption of analytics.
  • Operational excellence: Maintain documentation, metric definitions, data dictionaries, and reporting standards to ensure transparency, repeatability, and auditability of analytics outputs.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned 

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of either Technology or Process Management experience, OR in lieu of a degree, High School Diploma/G.E.D. and minimum of 10 years of either Technology or Process Management experience 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience administering and using data visualization tools like Tableau, BI.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience developing reports using Atlassian Analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience of driving improvements across complex organizations and processes of varying levels of maturity 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a lead role with a proven track record of strong leadership which includes training.

Desired Skills/Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge and demonstratable support of applications like Jira, JIRA Align and Confluence .
  • Experience working with Agentic AI (Rovo)
  • Extensive experience in developing Tableau Dashboards, Atlassian Analytics Dashboards.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies with SAFe certifications preferred.
  • Synchrony Experience preferred
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with a demonstrated business presence while interacting with senior business executives Proven experience with partnering, collaborating and influencing across a large multilayered organization at all levels 
  • Proven experience handling multiple, and competing priorities across all stakeholder groups and effectively resolving competing priorities and interests with minimal disruption 
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills 
  • Strong oral and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, and facilitation skills 
  • Strong team building skills and the ability to work effectively across teams. 
  • Demonstrate strong risk management mindset and behavior

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of either Technology or Process Management experience, OR in lieu of a degree, High School Diploma/G.E.D. and minimum of 10 years of either Technology or Process Management experience 

Work Timing- 12:00 to 9:00 PM IST

This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs). We are proud to offer flexibility at Synchrony. Our way of working allows you the option to work from home or workspaces in our regional Engagement Hub in Hyderabad. Occasionally you may be required to commute or travel to Hyderabad or one of the Regional Engagement Hubs for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, trainings and culture events.
