Our analytics organization comprises of data analysts who focus on enabling strategies to enhance customer and partner experience and optimize business performance through data management and development of full stack descriptive to prescriptive analytics solutions using cutting edge technologies thereby enabling business growth.
Role Summary/Purpose:
Senior Analyst, Payment Analytics (Individual Contributor) role is a part of India Analytics Hub (IAH). Our Analytics team comprises of data analysts who focus on improving customer/product/digital/ journey experience etc. and growth by providing full stack descriptive to prescriptive analytics via cutting edge technologies to support business objectives.
Focused on understanding the Enterprise payment process across customer payment journeys, assessing existing data availability, and collaborating closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, operations, and data engineers to capture and integrate any missing payment data. The manager will generate robust reporting and analytics on the Wing-to-Wing payment lifecycle, delivering strategic insights and actionable recommendations to optimize the payment experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently build and maintain enterprise-level reporting for payments across all products and channels, including dashboards, automated reports, and KPI scorecards.
- Partner with Agile delivery teams to support the payments infrastructure rebuild by gathering, documenting, and validating requirements for data collection and tracking at each stage of the payment lifecycle.
- Perform data quality checks, reconciliations, and root-cause analysis to ensure reporting accuracy and quickly resolve data gaps/issues.
- Support compliance, governance, and audit-related requests for payments reporting, including documentation, control evidence, metric definitions, and lineage/logic as needed.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any other quantitative streams with 2+ years of hands-on relevant Analytics experience in lieu of specified degree minimum 4+ years of relevant Analytics experience.
- 1+ year of hands-on experience with SQL and/or SAS to source, manipulate, and validate data for reporting and analysis.
- Minimum 1+ year of experience using Tableau to build dashboards and automate recurring reports, with strong attention to accuracy.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to collaborate, articulate and present solutions cutting across functional/agile teams in a simple yet compelling manner.
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
- 2 to 4 years of analytics experience in Financial Services Industry
- Ability to engage with technical and non-technical audiences with empathy and ensure needs/asks are effectively translated into technical requirements and followed upon.'
Eligibility Criteria: Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any other quantitative streams with 2+ years of hands-on relevant Analytics experience in lieu of specified degree minimum 4+ years of relevant Analytics experience.
Work Timings: 2 PM to 11 PM IST
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs)
