ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW: This role will be part of the Synchrony Security and Crisis Management organization and will report directly to the SVP, Chief Security Officer. responsibilities will be diverse and will include managing all physical security related matters in Synchrony’s Asia hubs, currently located in the Philippines and India. The role also has responsibility for managing all facilities and transport related matters for the same. Although the role does report into the Chief Security Officer, the role will also have dotted line reporting into the India and Philippines hub leadership and will be part of the India Leadership Team.
ROLE SUMMARY/PURPOSE: A critical role VP, Asia Security, Facilities and Transport, will be responsible for providing the thought leadership, lead SYF’s Security, Facilities and transport strategies within the APAC Region, more specifically the Synchrony India and Philippine hubs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop state of art plans to ensure safety, execution efficiency, quality, service and cost-effective management of resources.
- Direct all security and crisis management aspects in the region, in cooperation with SYF Global Security and Crisis Management Teams hub Leadership.
- Act as key advisor to the SYF Site Leadership for all security, crisis management, and Facilities matters.
- Responsible for meeting company-wide security and crisis objectives in the APAC Region.
- Manage the implementation of the Site Crisis Management programs consistent with SYF policies and local guidance in consultation with SYF Security / Crisis, Management leadership and the Site Leader.
- Develop and sustain relationships with Government officials, law enforcement and peer security organizations to gain valuable intelligence on security risks.
- Oversee Site specific Life safety and security awareness programs.
- Oversee and conduct assessments, audits, and provide recommendations accordingly to fill any gaps.
- Collaborate with Hyderabad Physical Security JSOC Team, ensure support for site level operations.
- Oversee and ensure delivery of high-quality professional Facilities Management services at hubs to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Ensure maintenance of a sound system of internal controls for Facilities Management, annual and lifecycle budgets, ensuring the efficient and effective management of and proper accounting for delegated financial resources.
- Strategize with operations team to develop operational plan for essential services such as maintenance staff, housekeeping, waste disposal; to achieve high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain compliance to systems and procedures as laid down by management.
- Conduct regular Health and Safety Audits Governance Model.
- Maintain good relationships with a wide range of suppliers, employees, contractors, stakeholders, etc.
- Monitor vendors and service providers' performance regularly to ensure quality of service/ delivery within specified timelines.
- Develop and analyze trends, provide direction on the maintaining of any administrative records, and regularly communicate with the delivery manager to ensure smooth operation.
- Oversee all areas of the transport logistics, budgets and financial controls, legislation and relevant fleet controls.
- Maintain compliance with all the statutory and regulatory relating to safety and security of employees.
- Develop accident prevention procedures and programs.
- Participate in budget planning, assist in cost optimization and efficiency goals.
- Benchmark with industry peers and implement best practices to align with SYF objectives.
- Motivate and lead a high performing team to achieve the objectives.
- Setting schedules, maintaining budget, and exercising time management skills is essential for success in this role.
REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 10 years of experience.
- Motivate and lead a high performing team to achieve the objectives.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Should be able to work in an intense, fast-moving environment, capable of providing direction and directing teams to accomplish goals.
- Setting schedules, maintaining budgets, and exercising time management skills is essential for the success of this role.
- Manage project plans, timelines, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders for workplace, physical security, maintenance, and site improvement initiatives.
DESIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with C-Suite level execs.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, managing and interacting with large teams, across all levels.
- Strong industry security and government contacts.
- This role requires up to 25% travel within India and to the Philippines, or as deemed appropriate based on role needs.
WORK TIMINGS: 4:30 AM ET – 1:30 PM ET
Role requires collaboration during India and US business hour overlap windows to support leadership and stakeholder discussions.
This role requires the candidate to be based out of Hyderabad location.
