Role Summary/Purpose:
This Role will be a QE Leadership role within the Partner & Product Integration and will play a key role in ensuring that the SYF Testing Standards are being adhered to, to deliver high quality products in a timely manner to improve customer journeys at an optimal cost. The individual will lead a team of Test Architects/Leads and collaborate with cross functional and geographically distributed teams for a given Portfolio(s). This position will require expertise in defining Test architecture, quality standards, key metrices, processes, and delivering Continuous Improvement Initiatives which will upgrade the Quality of the products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Test and Automation Architects/Leads focused on Testing Effectiveness and Automation testing, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for ingraining quality as a core discipline into every aspect of the software development lifecycle.
- Responsible for design, implementation and enhancements of testing frameworks and tools with an emphasis on test automation, continuous integration, and delivery.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate quality processes into all stages of software development life cycle from requirements to post release support and work closely with them to ensure customization as required and compliance.
- Utilize data driven insights to monitor quality indicators, track trends, and provide support to the Teams to proactively resolve any potential risks/issues.
- Establish and maintain policies, procedures and standards across all stages of software development lifecycle.
- Work with geographically distributed teams and ensure that set standards are adhered to.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- 5+ years of experience in successfully leading and maturing high performing quality engineering teams.
- Solid understanding of software development, Agile and SAFe methodologies with associated tools
- At least 4+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools, e.g. Jenkins, Cloud bees, etc.
- Proficiency and working knowledge of multiple automation testing tools and frameworks.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong program management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet timelines.
- Proven track record of dealing with ambiguity, translating vision to clear actions and tracking large organizational initiatives as a program to completion is a must.
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
- Demonstrate ability to drive standards and process improvements across complex organizations and teams of varying levels of maturity
- Proficiency in Process governance and risk compliance when it comes to Testing Standards
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10+ years of Leadership experience in Quality Assurance or in lieu of a degree 12+ years of relevant experience
Work Timings: 2PM - 11PM IST
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs)
