Veterans Network+ is elevating careers through camaraderie

Empowering meaningful connections

Our Veterans Network+ (VN+) welcomes all members of the military community and allies by providing a community and camaraderie where employees can come together, support each other, and grow their network and their careers. At Synchrony, employees can pursue higher education, create meaningful connections with an understanding community, build a sustainable financial future and grow as leaders. Hear from a few of our VN+ members and how they’ve elevated their careers.

Michael Benoit, Process Senior Surveillance Specialist, Marine Veteran

Michael has been with Synchrony for six years, serving for part of that time as a leader in our VN+. He got his bachelor’s degree through our Tuition Reimbursement Program and is pursuing his master’s degree. Michael has also found support through our Employee Assistance Program, which connects our people to the well-being resources they need most.

Lisa Galloway, AVP, Client Initiatives, military spouse

Lisa is a military spouse who knows the importance of finding a supportive community that understands the unique circumstances and needs of military families. Moving around the country can make it challenging for military spouses to stay employed at one organization. Luckily, with Synchrony’s flexible working options, Lisa was able to keep her job through the course of several moves. She also found comfort in knowing her peers in the Veterans Network+ were also military spouses and had shared experiences.

Alex Hill, AVP, Relationship Manager, U.S. Army reserve soldier

Alex uses Synchrony’s comprehensive benefits to support his family and brings his best self to work. As a member of the Veterans Network+, the best benefit, Alex says, is differential pay, in which Synchrony pays the difference between his military and civilian salary while he’s deployed. This helps him secure his finances and provides peace of mind for his family while he’s serving his country.

Veterans Leadership Program

Synchrony’s Veterans Leadership Program is a 13-month experience built for transitioning military veterans. It’s designed to help them transfer the skills they learned from their military service to an influential civilian career. Using leadership training as well as mentorship, the Veterans Leadership Program is creating new opportunities for veterans to become successful and transformational leaders.
