Role Summary/Purpose:

VP, Analytics – Marketing Measurement Consulting (people manager) role is a part of India Analytics Hub (IAH) and reports to Marketing Measurement leader in IAH, closely partnering with Marketing Measurement and Optimization leaders in US. The desired employee will own the H&W marketing measurement & optimization roadmap as well as drive clear recommendations on campaign effectiveness, influencing decisions to maximize ROMI.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Build, Implement & Manage H&W Marketing Measurement Roadmap: Develop and implement a time-bound, tangible and detailed analytics roadmap (around use case development, design of approach, and H&W feature expansion) for the H&W scalable measurement tool & case study development, outlining key milestones, resources, and timelines for achieving long-term goals.
  • Develop Measurement Approach for H&W: Design & lead the development of scalable methods & measurement tools (to incorporate platform nuances) in alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead H&W Optimization Activities: Drive adoption and usage of these centralized tools by creating actionable insights around campaign effectiveness, customer behavior, and ROMI across campaigns. These will play a critical role in monthly & quarterly business reviews.
  • Lead the Marketing Optimization team: Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and act as a thought partner to business users & US counterparts
  • Be hands-on in data & Analytics: Be a hands-on leader and be able to personally dive into data, conduct analysis, prototype tools, especially in early stages of tool development or for highly strategic projects.
  • Lead internal initiatives, perform other duties and/or special projects, as assigned

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any other quantitative streams with 8+ years of hands-on relevant analytics/data science experience, or in lieu of a degree 10+ years of relevant analytics/data science experience.
  • 6+ years in building analytics to drive strategy with positive outcomes and measuring impact
  • 6+ years of hands-on Experience in SQL /SAS with proven ability to leverage advanced algorithms and be efficient in handling complex/large data;
  • 3+ years of experience in BI tools, e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Birst, etc.
  • 5+ years in marketing analytics, with a focus on campaign measurement and optimization
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical methods, A/B testing, and multivariate testing.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing teams with ability to motivate team, drive change, create a culture of learning, innovation and recognition
  • Experience in storytelling, presenting to senior leaders with strong communication skills & minimal supervision
  • Advanced proficiency in MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint with superior data analyses and story boarding skills
  • Strong written/oral communication & stakeholder management skills

Desired Skills & Knowledge:

  • Retail lending / Credit lending experience with a focus in on marketing analytics / campaigns analytics is strongly preferred.
  • Superior thought leadership and framework based solutioning abilities
  • Experience in storytelling, presenting to senior leaders with strong communication skills
  • Innovative mindset that looks to improve current capabilities and discover new ones
  • Experience working with Python and R, preferably in a Linux-based cloud environment such as AWS
  • Experience with modeling/forecasting

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any other quantitative streams with 8+ years of hands-on relevant analytics/data science experience, or in lieu of a degree 10+ years of relevant analytics/data science experience.

Work Timings:

  • To facilitate direct collaboration with stakeholders and virtual discussions and reviews with business and analytics teams located on the U.S. West Coast, this role requires working hours from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST. Applicants should be prepared to work this schedule. Please discuss work timings with the hiring manager for additional clarity. . This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs)
  • We are proud to offer flexibility at Synchrony. Our way of working allows you the option to work from home or workspaces in our Regional Engagement Hubs—Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Kolkata, or Delhi/NCR.
  • Occasionally you may be required to commute or travel to Hyderabad or one of the Regional Engagement Hubs for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, trainings, and culture events
